Welcome to No 10 Dulas, a cosy, warm, Victorian stone cottage, sleeping up to three people in two bedrooms, with a pretty stream-side garden and parking

Tucked away in a quiet corner of Hay-on-Wye No 10 Dulas has recently been fully refurbished with everything you need for a relaxing stay and to explore the area

Come in and explore our cosy holiday cottage

Built in the 1840's, No 10 Dulas has a warm and cosy lounge overlooking the sunny garden, with comfy sofa and armchair to sit back and relax in after your busy day out exploring. Flat screen TV, DVD player, dining area and fast WiFi access point. With the added benefit of original feature stone fireplace and wonderfully warming gas flame effect log burner, ideal for those chilly winter evenings, as well as a selection of DVD's, games and books to keep you amused.

The stylish fitted kitchen is fully equipped with an integrated electric hob, oven & grill, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine and plenty of crockery and plenty of utensils.

The bright modern bathroom has a large walk-in shower, hand basin, toilet, heated towel rail and wonderfully warming underfloor heating.

Upstairs are two bedrooms, the master bedroom with a wonderful stripped pine wooden floor and super comfy king-size double bed, overlooking the garden. The second bedroom has a full-size single bed. Both bedrooms have plenty of storage space. The cottage has adjustable central heating throughout and there is always a constant supply of hot water.

The sunny, secluded and private garden backs onto the Dulas Brook and has two patio areas, one adjacent to the cottage with a large picnic table, ideal for alfresco dining. The second looks over the Dulas Brook where you can sit, relax and listen to the stream and watch the wildlife.  if you are lucky you can watch Otters play, Kingfishers catching their lunch and Dunnock's nesting close by. If you are really lucky you may even see a hedgehog or two wandering along the river bank.

Guests have exclusive use of the cottage and garden during their stay. There is dedicated off-street parking space for up to two cars at the side of the cottage.

For the outdoor adventurers, the garden has a lockable outbuilding for secure storage of bikes or any other equipment you might have. There is also heating so you can dry your wet outdoor gear ready for the next day of escapades.

We provide all bed linen, towels and bathroom essentials including shampoo and hand soap. The kitchen is well equipped with all the basics including tea, coffee and sugar, tea towels, kitchen roll, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and condiments. The local supermarket is just a 5-minute walk away to keep you fully stocked up.

Beyond the cottage, you have a lot of exploring to do, but everything is conveniently located. You are just 5 minutes’ walk away from the heart of Hay with eclectic shops, bustling cafes, characterful pubs and all those world-famous second-hand bookshops to get lost in!

The town has so much to offer including the greatly renowned Hay Literature Festival but beyond the town, you have the stunning Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons mountain ranges with endless walking, cycling, canoeing, fishing and other outdoor activities to entertain you. You’ll find No.10 Dulas your home from home in the Welsh countryside.

This little gem

This is a little Gem , Immaculate, cosy and charming . No.10 has a stylish charm that has been finished to a superb standard, from feather duvet to beautifully chosen fabrics for curtains and furnishings. The walk into town is super quick, turn left out of the little close and within 3 minutes you come across your first quirky shop , another minute and you have a choice of cafe's... Really couldn't be better located. All the mod cons (Our Amazon fire stick streamed over wifi connection fine , always a bonus! ) TV, Dishwasher , washing machine etc. The lounge is warm and inviting when you get back from a long walk. Bedroom has oodles of charm and the kitchen is just the right size and well equipped to knock up some grub. The bathroom has heated floor and the shower belts out plenty of hot water, Steamy ! The back garden has a wide fast running stream at the bottoms whose babble smooths away your troubles. Had the pleasure of meeting Lynda when we left, she really does care about your visit and experiences and this is reflected in the lovely, thoughtful , comfortable and practical No.10 First visit of many I think !
